Terra Cotta Tutoring
I provide academic support for English Language Arts specifically in phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. I tutor privately in your home or local library or online via Zoom. I also provide private English as a Second Language lessons that build conversational skills and literacy.

I tutor English Language Arts and I am a Private ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher. I meet students at their level and help them master the learning skills needed for success. I assess each student's needs and create individualized lesson plans that will not only foster success and get them to the next level but will help them build lifelong skills for learning. I am a Nationally Certified Tutor through The National Tutoring Association and have a Bachelor of Science in Education from Central Connecticut State University. I am also trained in the Orton-Gillingham method for reading and writing. My background in the performing arts (stand-up and acting) has given me the unique ability to problem solve while keeping a sense of humor and steadfastly supporting the academic success of my students.

Purpose
My sole purpose is to help each student succeed academically in a positive manner. I will foster a constructive environment and provide open communication to enable the student's growth. It is best when communication is open and honest between the student, parent, and tutor in order to facilitate the student's overall success. In turn, this provides a strong base for their educational growth and well-being.
Question
I am available to the student/parent as long as the student wants to be tutored.
Payment Agreement
Sessions are $85 - $125 per hour. I accept payment via Venmo, Zelle, Cash or Check due each week.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations require a 48-hour notice.
Cancellations without a 48-hour notice will be charged at half price.
Cancellations within 12 hours will be charged at full price.
Vacations must be made with at least 2 weeks' notice.
